Pieces of furniture are designed and made by Luc Roy. Each piece of furniture is unique. The piece of furniture is viewed as an opportunity to develop a construction project on a small scale, more rapidly than a project of greater scale could be. Pieces of furniture are made from drawing board to workshop and vice versa. In this way, the piece, the object, until the end, is viewed like a prototype that will be built, deconstructed, perhaps reconstructed and sometimes even demolished to start again on a new basis. Here, the commission is not a possibility: pieces are presented and sold as viewed and conceived. In consideration of the process of creation, only a few pieces come out of the workshop each year.
